Yesterday I was invited to a Golden Road Brewing media event, for their new seasonal beer Better Weather IPA. A 9.4% abv., damn that was a great beer.
As most of you know, I’m not a can fan. So I was very interested in their new IPA and from the source. The beer was amazingly right on your palate, hops were perfectly balanced and with the perfect bitterness to mix together. Be warned, it’s a sneaky little fucker. You might not think that while enjoying this brew. Mark my words, it with you hard. This will be available in 4 packs at your nearest store and on draft November 2, 2013. It is available today October 27, 2013 on draft, at Golden Road Brewing. So get this one and enjoy..also big thanks to Tony, Meg, Franny and everyone at Golden Road Brewing, remember to drink responsibly.

GOLDEN ROAD BREWING’s BETTER WEATHER IPA DEBUTS IN 16oz CANS
L.A.’s largest craft brewery reveals third beer in their Custom IPA Can Series
Los Angeles, CA (October 23, 2013) – Just as Los Angeles braces for frigid temperatures of 65-70 degrees (e.g. winter in Los Angeles), Golden Road Brewing debuts Better Weather IPA this Sunday, October 27, it’s ode to “light sweaters and flip-flops” and the third beer in their Custom IPA series. Developed by brewmaster Jesse Houck, Better Weather IPA is Golden Road’s answer to traditional “winter warmers”.
Says Golden Road Brewmaster Jesse Houck: “Better Weather IPA carries smooth toffee undertones balanced by a huge hop character for a marriage of seasonal flavors and West Coast propensities.”
Adds Co-Founder Meg Gill, “When Tony convinced me to move to LA to build a brewery together, his one-liner, was ‘You’ll love it, the weather’s better.’ This beer exhibits the best of LA and is some of our favorite beer yet.'”
Following the success of Heal the Bay and Burning Bush in Golden Road’s Custom IPA can series, Better Weather is available on select shelves and limited release draft throughout the greater Los Angeles area through January 2014.
At 9.4% ABV and about 92 IBUs, the India Pale Ale offers the warmth of a winter beer while favoring the grapefruit pith, resin and stone fruit notes of the West Coast Warrior,
Zythos, Cascade, Centennial, Amarillo and Simcoe hops – veering away from the holiday spices typical of winter beers. Better Weather will be available in Golden Road’s signature tall-boy 16oz cans, and will retail in packs of four.
