Stone’s 17th anniversary IPA is purely a Hop Head standard and clearly, hands down, one of my new favorite brews ever. The brew is a proper representation of innovation. Pilsner malts. Clean look. It will trick you and others. “Inspired by new experimental German hops. Herkules, Hersbrucker, Magnum, Merker, Opal, Smaragd, und Strisselspalt. Dry hopped with Sterling, a new U.S. hop with Saaz parentage.” – back of the bottle.
Holy MF yes!!! This brew is a sneaky bastard too at 9.5%. Rhino and I both said out loud…damn…NOW I feel it.
I will say, I won’t tell you aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and the other two things cuz you are a grown up and can discover these things for yourself. This review is unorthodox just like this brew.
The door is there. Be forewarned. If you like hops at all, buy this beer as much as possible. It will be gone in a blitzkrieg. Put on your big boy/girl pants and walk on through the door to delicious land. If you don’t like it, you may in fact suck at general life. Good luck with that. Cheers!!!
Alles gutes zum Jahrestag Stein!!!
